Who makes life miserable?

Ever lie awake at night wondering why so many things are going wrong?
Ever get into trouble even though you are following the "good" path?
There are many factors affecting this seemingly infinite expanse of misery beneath our feet but let me introduce one of its agents.
These are people who always are ready to go and do something without the slightest thought about how it could or would impact another human being. I call them the "wreckers" for lack of a better PG 13 derogatory term.
These are the kind of people some call "spontaneous" but I do not. There is a fine line between being "spontaneous" and being a nut case. You are sitting alone at home and you decide to write a poem or draw a picture.. great. Thats spontaneous. You try face painting on your room mate while he is driving down a freeway at 80 miles an hour? Spontaneous?
Catch my drift? And also included in this category of folks are guys who think two steps behind what they are doing. These are the people who you will find setting out on journeys with no clues about what they are supposed to do when they get there. The worst part is that they dont suffer alone. Invariably they will have a "good" friend who will be just a phone call away and who will drop everything to come to their aid. Lucky for them but what about the good friend. Why does he need to screw up his well planned schedule to accommodate a bunch of nincompoops who couldnt plan in advance?
Misery seeks company and I can see the reason now.. A bunch of miserable people will get all the others into the mess as well. Working with idiots is the biggest health hazard ever. Damn.
So if you think you are the one who always ends up adjusting yourself to accommodate your friends then take a break. This cycle will never end. Its nature and you are at the bottom of the food chain of misery. Everyones out to get you. Run, run!!! AAahhhhh.

True Love

Few companions can as faith full be,
As mathematics has been to me.
In the earth, water and skies above
Its only her image that I see.

Started as someones bundle of joy,
Added all their values in my life.
Subtracted from their bank account
And marched down the road of strife.

Soon integrated the feeling of joyous love.
Life was linear. Unidimensional and Oh so cool!
But the differentiation of my cash and feelings
Left me stranded like a fool.

Few companions can as faith full be,
As mathematics has been to me.
In the earth, water and skies above
Its only her image that I see.

Found new equations and new ways to solve.
In the matrix of Life I was only at (1,1).
So with a fiery heart and iron clad resolve
Started the transformation. Listened to none.

The Work - monotonic and discontinuous,
Led to most limits being tested:
But the Asymptotic curve of patience
Kept the chin up and mind rested.

Few companions can as faith full be,
As mathematics has been to me.
In the earth, water and skies above
Its only her image that I see.

While the helical future spirals ahead,
Tumultuous thoughts I co ordinate.
This equation shall be solved yet
Even if I have to convert Boolean to date.

All experiences in life are Gaussian
The central Limit Theorem has been used.
Questions on life are many, I think of one;
Is it non linear, random or just confused?

Few companions can as faith full be,
As mathematics has been to me.
In the earth, water and skies above
Its only her image that I see.

Dumb down your instincts!

After years of grueling training, the myriad of know hows and absorbing most of the tips to "succeed" in life I have arrived at the single all encompassing solution.. DUMB DOWN YOUR INSTINCTS (DDYI)
Yes, may be I am being "a master of the obvious" as Scott Adams would have put it but nevertheless I stand by this statement.Lets look at a few scenarios
1) A big plate full of delicious treats, a few toddlers.Instinct - Grab as many as possible. Result - Slap on the wrist. Lesson - DDYI
2) Big bully in school flunks science.Instinct- You say "Jackass, grow a brain". Result - Two black eyes, a broken nose.Lesson - DDYI
3) Dumb lecturer in college. Instinct - You say "You dont deserve respect you Lilliput brain". Result - Answer script used as toilet paper. Lesson- DDYI
4) Mind numbing company. Instinct - "Get out of my life PLEASE. I couldnt care less about your meager lives". Result -Negative feedback on interpersonal communication skills and team work abilities. Lesson - DDYI
My ramblings can go on and on but you get the point. All through our lives, all that we are taught and learn just mask what we are to begin with. The true test of intelligence is not in proving your superiority over others, its in learning to dumb down to their level. So the next time you see a really dumb person, dont judge him harshly. He may be the one who's adapted better than you. [:)]
